10 Things To Think About When Considering Frontpage Web Hosting

Its not hard to find Frontpage Web Hosting. Just do a google search and youre likely to find hundreds of sites that provide it. But there are some things that youll want to look for and consider.

1) What version of Frontpage are you using? This is important because Frontpage features are implemented through the use of Frontpage Extensions and those extensions are different between each version. So youll need to make sure that the Frontpage Host you select supports the Frontpage extensions for your particular version.

2) Do you really need a site that supports Frontpage extensions? This may seem strange, but youll find that there are two primary hosting types; Linux based and Windows based. The Linux based hosts are generally a bit cheaper than Windows based hosting. If you have no plans to take advantage of Frontpage extensions, and youre only using Frontpage to create HTML documents, then regular Linux hosting will do fine.

3) Dont use Frontpage Extensions if you really dont have to. These extensions will give you the ability to do creative things (flashing text, calanders, etc) that dont really add value to your website. Consider this risk as Microsoft updates its software, they may change a Frontpage extension in such a way that your websites may not work. If this happens, you would have to rewrite your web page with updated references to extensions to make it work again.

4) Is the host reliable? There are literally THOUSANDS of Frontpage Web Hosting providers on the market. All you need to set up a web host business is a Windows based server and an Internet connection. You, the home users, really have no idea if the host is reliable or not. For this reason, its a good idea to check Frontpage hosting providers ratings before making a selection. Use a service like:

http://www.webhostingratings.com/ or http://www.hostcompare.com/showcases/frontpage.html

5) How long do they want you to sign up for? Typically, a web host will have a monthly contract with price breaks if you prepay for longer terms. You dont have to be crazy and buy 5 years. 1 year will do. Also, along with your Frontpage hosting account, youre going to have to purchase a domain name. Generally, I do this through the same company, but you dont have to do it this way. For example, on occasion, a domain name registrar called RegisterFly will offer .info domains for as little as .60 per year. Normally you would expect to pay about $5.00 per year, so this is a great discount. Ive purchased hundreds of domains through RegisterFly and am very happy with them.

6) Does your Frontpage Web Host have a simple to use web front end for administering your site? This makes things much easier. You will undoubtedly be creating a directory structure, uploading files, changing file permissions, etc, while you develop your site. Having a convenient web based portal for administering these changes makes things nice.

7) How many e-mail accounts will your Frontpage Web Host provide? Normally this is a non-issue, but if youre setting up a website for a business and they need e-mail addresses to go along with their web hosting service, then youll want to confirm that enough e-mail addresses are provided by the host. Lately, Ive noticed this number going up and up and up. A few years ago, 5 e-mail addresses was normal. Now, Ill get hundreds per domain (which I never use).

8) How much space will your Frontpage Web Host provide? Again, this number is going up and up and up. But dont be caught off guard. Make sure they will provide enough space for your needs. Typically, youll see 100 MB or so for cheaper accounts. Unless you have a vast database that will be part of your site, this is generally more than enough.

9) Will your Frontpage Web Host put a cap on the amount of bandwidth you can consume? If you expect to get lots of visitors to your website, make sure your hosting provide will supply the bandwidth. I recently ran into a problem with on of my accounts because a graphics intensive page was referenced by a very popular authority site, I consumed my allotted bandwidth for the month, in 2 days. They kept my account operations, but I had to pay extra for the bandwidth consumption. Other sites have been turned off due to excessive bandwidth consumption.

10) Finally, will your Frontpage Web Host allow you to register domain names privately? This is a feature of Domain Registration where your private information remains private. When someone performs a Whois on your domain, they would see the contact information for the web host. This is nice if you plan to put up many, many sites and want to avoid any spam.

I would say that choosing a Frontpage Web Host is only slightly more difficult than choosing a Linux Host. If you check some of those review sites that I mentioned above, you can be confident that youll find a Frontpage host that will provide excellent service to you. You can find out more about Frontpage Web Hosting here -> http://www.frontpagewebhosting-site.info

Charles Waters has been developing web sites for several years as part of his Affiliate Marketing strategy. In the beginning, he used Frontpage extensively, but over the last few years has migrated to the cheaper, more ubiquitous Linux hosting. Educational Baby Toys are Lots of Fun

If you dont have a baby or havent had one it may be a difficult task trying to figure out what kind of gift to buy. What we are going to focus on here is a specific age group which is the best way to go about buying gifts for babies since they are changing so rapidly. Babies this age are crawling all over and some are beginning to walk so toys that they can play with in this way are especially desirable.

At this age objects are now more than just objects to look at, they now look at them as things to play with. They are also interested in interactive games and problem solving so with that in mind lets look at some toy ideas.

First off, in keeping with the idea that babies this age are beginning to walk around a bit, push toys are a good choice. The push toys will help them keep their balance as they are learning to walk, just be sure that it has enough weight to give the baby some exercise while working on their motor skills.

Shape sorters are also good choices at this age requiring the baby to sort through shapes and solving problems of how to place one shape inside another and so on. The toys will keep a baby occupied for hours on end.

If you have a sandbox for the baby to play in, sandbox toys like buckets and shovels will be a lot of fun.

Toy telephones and computers are also great. Babies learn a lot by watching us and they will talk forever to an imaginary person on the other end of a toy phone. They love toy versions of adult items. Toy laptops that make beeping noises can be a great gift as well.

Three dimensional pop up books that foster interactivity can be very interesting to babies.

The last items on our list for now are is building blocks. Blocks will be a staple toy that babies will enjoy for years. Wooden blocks, Lincoln logs, Big Legos, and other similar blocks will provide hours of creative, motor skill building fun.

Anita Eracybab provides free advice on her site and has established an online community for those looking for information on how to care for their baby. Head on over to http://www.101babycare.com for more information.Gareth Blog97462

Baby Gate Safety

BABY GATES. The words alone give you a sense that if you provide a gate, your little toddler will be safe and contained. I certainly agree. On the surface, this is what a baby gate will and should provide. But not all baby gates are created equal.

Lets start with a few word choices that will get you the right equipment. A parent goes into a store and says to the clerk, Im here to buy a baby gate. Remember, the baby is not going to use the gate, you are. Who knows what theyll get.

Now try this, Im here to buy a gate for myself and my family to use to protect our baby. You want a gate for an adult. Youre the one who has to use it every day. Now you have a shot at getting a gate that allows you, the parent, to use the equipment without stepping over it and cursing it every time you need to pass through it.

I have personally installed over a thousand gates in homes as a business. The one thing I always recommended was to choose the right gate for the job.

Place hard mounted gates at the top of the stairs. I actually prefer this hard mount gate in all areas as long as it is manageable; meaning the opening wasnt so wide it had the gate swing half way across the room.

If you must have the pressure type in your doorways, choose something that takes hand coordination to open. In other words, the foot activated type is not what I would use. Trust me on this. Pressure gate damage can be worse than a gate that has been screwed into the wall.

One company stands out above the rest and that is a company by the name of KidCo. They provide a wide variety of gates for all types of situations from stairs to fireplaces. You can find them in baby stores and online. I recommend doing your homework before you buy.

My all time favorite would be the Safeway steel gate. It is the greatest for features and benefits. Its a hard mount gate that is easy to install. Please follow instructions to the letter. I have installed this gate in a wide range of applications and always had the parent overjoyed with its performance. They also have mounting kits to assist you in your installation if needed.

The other gate I like is the hearth gate for fireplaces. It beats having to create a barrier out of furniture. Ive seen parents get very creative when it comes to protecting the baby from danger. Doing it right is much easier.

Now I know I didnt give you dimensions and every detail associated with the KidCo brand of gating, but you can get all that from them. Do it right and take my advice. Put safety products in that a pro would use. Its the only gating I used for my own grandchildren.

Ken White and his wife Vicki owned and operated a retail store for over six years specializing in child safety products and installation, car seat safety and educational toys. You can visit their website on child safety products at http://www.babyhomesafetee.com. They also have a site on home safety and security at http://safehomeinfo.com. Gareth Blog31175

Crohns And Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a trying time for all women. The added stress, the complicated health issues and the additional weight can be overwhelming for many. But when you add in severe health problems like Crohns disease, the stress levels can reach unhealthy levels. So, what effects does Crohns disease have on pregnancy and what does this mean for the health of the baby?

Studies have shown that most women or couples who have an active case of Crohns (they regularly get flare-ups) may have trouble even conceiving. A common drug used to treat Crohns called sulfasalzine may render men temporarily infertile. There are less common medications available for men who are looking to conceive so consult your doctor to get switched to a treatment that wont damage your sperm count.

Most women who have Crohns are able to carry their baby to a full-term pregnancy and have a healthy boy or girl, but there are some direct links between Crohns disease and problems which could potentially crop up. Since Crohns is responsible for causing ulcers and abscesses in the body, women who may have these in the birth canal or in the vagina may need to have a caesarean section birth. Crohns has been linked to a higher rate of miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth at a rate of two to three times. There are also links between a worsening of symptoms directly after becoming pregnant and during the first trimester. Some women also experience a severe flare-up immediately after giving birth. The one thing to keep in mind is that every case of Crohns is different and every pregnancy is different, as well. There is no link at this time that says if you have severe Crohns related symptoms during one pregnancy that youll have them during your next one, too.

One of the most important aspects to having a healthy baby is eating a proper diet. As everyone knows, a womans diet changes dramatically during pregnancy, but diet can be a main trigger to Crohns flair-ups. So how to rectify the two? The best thing to do is to consult your doctors and remember, if you are treating your Crohns with sulfasalazine, take folic acid to help prevent birth defects. Most likely, your doctor and obstetrician will recommend a few special foods and an increased vitamin and mineral supplement plan.

There is a debated genetic link associated with Crohns. Some studies have shown no real link, while others have shown that if someone in your family has Crohns, there is a 10 times greater chance of developing it, and if that person is a brother or a sister, the risk jumps to 30 times. Targeting the actual genes that cause it has been extremely challenging since it appears that more than one gene affects Crohns disease. The main consensus on this controversial area is that there may be some genetic link, but its all about the environmental risk factors associated with it. Dont smoke, try to eat right and keep the stress down and you dont have to worry about passing Crohns disease onto your newborn baby.

Why Funded Proposal Marketing Will Work For You!

For 10 years I kicked the can at network marketing both off, and online. I followed the marketing systems used by my support line that seemed to be their success tool. Contacting friends & family (who werent either interested or supportive), advertising my opportunity, or buying leads & cold calling opportunity seeks, with minimal success. Certainly didnt make me a millionaire!!! Ended up making me frustrated and broke!

I would become discouraged, and either quit, or blame myself for my inability to succeed. Yet, my understanding of residual and passive income spurred me on despite my formally dismal results. I always knew deep down that there is a key to making this work from home world successful. I knew that there had to be a successful marketing strategy formula that would ideally pay me and put qualified people into my network without all of the previous and discouraging results.

I found it. I certainly want to share this with you. I hope you will take these words to heart and save yourself years of grief in the hit and miss world of marketing your opportunity.

I found a system which includes a step by step Internet Marketing Success Guide which amazingly was FREE. I encourage you to look into this at http://pearce.payitforward4profits.com . The theory is that instead of becoming a member of a business opportunity and receiving a free website, and then wondering what to do next, Funded Proposal Marketing, works on building your marketing strategy and creating opt in lists, which may become interested in your Primary business and create a very strong network of growth. Funded Proposal helps you to help others to put forth effort to create multiple streams of income by which your marketing efforts pay off to enable you to expand your marketing, instead of draining your marking budget.

This is a system which is revolutionizing marketing and creating strong online success, through education, networking, monetization which takes the online marketer of modest means to financial stability with reliable and constant effort. Turns the 95% of potential failure, to conversion to online success. I urge you to do your due diligence. If you are serious, dont miss this.

Quality Harley Davidson Parts For One Great Machine

With the company that has built its name to become one of the most respected manufacturers of top quality motorcycles around the world, there is no doubt that each Harley-Davidson part is assured to fit in the category: superior.

Harley-Davidson was founded in 1903 and had rolled-off thousands of motorcycles since then. For more than one century of motorcycle manufacturing, the company had gone through several times where its toughness is challenged. It is seemed obvious that Harley-Davidson has gone through all. But the real test is not within the company. The real test is outside- on the road where each Harley-Davidson motorcycle is being tested everyday several thousand times over- by Harley-Davidson motorcycle owners around the globe.

What makes each Harley-Davidson motorcycle a living legacy? The answer can be found in the motorcycle itself. From the overall look of the motorcycle, to the tinniest moving part inside the engine, Harley-Davidson is superb.

Of course, every Harley-Davidson part contributes on how the motorcycle performs. The suspension parts provide the smooth ride to the Harley. The seat gives the rider comfort while cruising down the road. The infamous v-engine gives each Harley-Davidson motorcycle the power to conquer roads. The handlebars give the motorcycle the stability that each rider needs. The paint provides the exterior look of the Harley.

The different decals make each Harley unique from another Harley. The wheels roll the motorcycle to any place of any terrain. The transmission parts give better run to the motorcycle. And every Harley-Davidson part contributes to how Harley behaves on the road.

It is not surprising that each Harley-Davidson owner would want to infuse a little something out of their personality to their motorcycle. This the reason why there are several Harley-Davidson parts available just to provide better performance to the motorcycle. There are also several Harley-Davidson parts that are made to transform the stunning Harley into a more interesting motorcycle on the road.

Some Harley-Davidson parts act as an accessory. Some of these are the fender trims and instrument trims that highlights the fender and the gauges to become more attractive; the exhaust system that makes each Harley look more sporty, saddlebag and sissy bar bag that act as an accessory and provide additional storage room, backrest pad that gives extra comfort while you ride, windshield that creates a tougher look on the motorcycle, and more.

With Harley-Davidson parts, your motorcycle can posses the best look possible.

Is Working At Home For You?

Lets Play What If?

A dream for millions of people has always been to work at home. Who really wants to be working at some crummy job for very little pay? No matter what our profession or nationality is we all seem to want more out of life than what we all actually have now. The answer to so many of our problems seems to be to work at home. Just imagine what life would be like if you did not have to wake up in the morning and spend the day doing something you did not like, answering to your superiors who seem to be always on your case. Now ask yourself "How would I feel if I was able to work at home, be my own boss and answer to me?"

I can answer that for you. You are going to feel fantastic. You will have a terrific time it you did not have to wake up each day to go to work. This is assuming that you didn't like your job to begin with. If you are having a rip-roaring time each day, at your job, and love it, than you probably will not need to read the rest of this article. This article is written for those who are not sure about one thing: the decision to stay with their current job or to begin work at home. In other words, those who want to work from home.

Decisions, decisions, decisions

If you do decide to work from home, you are really trying to become self-employed or an entrepreneur. If you will, this decision is not to be taken lightly. Working from home is not for everyone. As comfortable as it may be, a Home Based Business carries a significant amount of risk with it. There is always a chance that the business will fail. However, if you make good choices right at the start and set a solid foundation for years to come, you will drastically increase your chances for success. There is no doubt about it, starting your own business is risky. But you also stand to realize massive gains, perhaps even amass a fortune!

If you decide to work from home, there are a number of advantages that will accrue. For openers, not having to go to the office daily is enticement enough. After all, have you not wanted to sleep for a few more minutes, but could not because you would be late for work? Everyone has experienced this. You begin to take charge of your life when you work at home. You will take control of your time and you will decide how to spend it. Of course, this can be a two-edged sword - if you are not the well organized self-controlled type. You might end up unsure on your tasks, or perhaps not even doing them at all. These will most certainly cause your work at home business to fail. So you need to ask yourself, "Are you disciplined enough?" before you decide to try and work at home. Being at home will present you with countless occasions to wriggle out of your work. You will be better off earning a regular wage if you can not trust yourself to do the right thing. If you are the type of person who has the desire, the will or motivation to go after your dreams, then you are the type of person who will have nothing to lose by working at home. You will have everything to gain.

21st Century Work At Home Business--Start a Home Business

Work from home, work at home, start a home business and start an internet business, how many times do you see these phrases if you do any surfing on the net. Probably many times, right? How do you decide which ones are worthwhile? It is not easy.

Have you spent money on a work from home business and discovered that after youve paid your money you cant find anyone to help you? You are left out in the cold, on your own. Not a good feeling, right?

So you have heard all the hype, fell for some of it, and now feel that everything you see on the net is a scam. But at the same time, there are those who start an internet business and succeed in a big way. Why cant that be you?

The main reason that most people fail or not make what they expected is lack of training. You need generic training so you can market any program that you sign up for.

There are multiple trainings everyday, you feel like you are part of a group, where the success of everyone, including you, is important. Their team of trained closers, all of which are successful marketers, will do the hard part and according to the Predator Marketing System site, you get paid $1,000 to $3,000.

Learning to market without rejection has been the most important aspect of my success, reveals Dot Santoro, as long as I had to place hundreds of phone calls to get any sales, my work from home business was not going anywhere. Now, I spend my time doing the marketing, not on the phone trying to make sales.

To learn more about Predator Marketing System and how it works, go to http://getpaidtomarket.com and request a callback, that way you can see how the system works.

Dorothy Santoro's living comes from network marketing. She lives in the hills of Tennessee, where she raises a small herd of mini goats on a 25 acre hobby farm. How to Get the Best Possible Beach Vacation Home

There is nothing more relaxing than having a week or two to spend at the beach. Vacation homes are a wonderful change from staying at a large or impersonal motel or hotel, plus they have the added convenience of being close to or even right on the water, having all the amenities of a house, as well as being much larger than a hotel room or even a suite would be.

Many of the beach vacation homes available offer all the features of a hotel vacation. If you are considering a rental and are going through an agency or property management company, it is usually possible to have a rental car provided for you upon arrival. In addition, many companies and agencies can also offer bonded and professional cleaning staff, chefs and even tour guides that will personalize your beach vacation and really make it a holiday for everyone in the family.

If you would prefer to just be able to relax and enjoy the warm weather, beach vacation homes can offer a quiet, stress-free holiday environment. To ensure that you get the best possible rental property, be sure to check the following:

* Ensure that you know the full amount of the rental and any additional expenses that may be included. Most beach vacation homes, especially those that are right on the beach or at the water will book up at least one season in advance. Holiday times such as summer vacation, spring break and even Christmas holidays may be booked several seasons in advance.

* Before sending a deposit or providing a credit card number for a deposit or reservation, fully understand the cancellation policy or any insurance that you may need to have on the property.

* Whether you are renting beach vacation homes from an individual or a company, be sure to get everything in writing before supplying a deposit or credit card information, especially if you have not rented through the company or from the individual before. A verbal agreement is not binding or legally valid in a court but a written, signed contract is a legal document.

* Finally, check the area in which the beach vacation home is located. While property right on the beach is great in quiet or secluded places, on busy beaches it can be a bit more stressful and noisy, especially if you are wanting a quiet vacation spot.

Doing some advanced research on beach vacation homes is simple through the internet or making a few phone calls. Planning your vacation is half the fun and knowing what you want and finding just the right beach vacation homes makes the holiday perfect for the whole family.

One Big Worry for Guys

Im not really sure about how other men feel,

but one big worry for men is whether he can bring the bread and butter home every day.

(This money problem will only go away if money grow on trees.)

There is alot of times when I look around mesome of my friends who managed to get high-paid jobs can manage to leave the problem of financial insecurity aside.

For me, I dont think I can.

My pay is not of high range and when I work out my expenditure for every month, it leaves very little for savings.

Some of my mentors told me that a man can never really be financially free if he works for others.

I take their words for it as they are making tens of thousands per week!!!

As I was browsing through the internet, there are many internet savvy brides who built their websites and are selling some wedding hand-made items. And they are doing quite well.

There could be many reasons for doing that.

One of them is to make enough money for her own survival.

Others could be to fund her own wedding.

The rest merely do it because they love doing it.

I really wonder who are those lucky chaps who do not need to worry about saving enough for wedding.

I knew of some friends who are from very rich families and they wont even blink an eye for spending hundred of thousands of dollars on their wedding.

On the other hand, Im not really sure if they are really considered lucky as they do not have the chance to practice their financial planning between husband and wife.

While typing this post, I remembered many of my friends who are around my age and are getting married.

Irregardless of gender, money is always a big headache for them.

What about you? Is having enough money an issue for you?

What Youve Been Dying To Know.... How Does Hypnosis Work?

Hypnosis is a highly disputed phenomenon that has been around for a long time. It can be used to help someone to stop destructive behavior, such as smoking or overeating. Or, hypnosis could be used simply to help one to relax. Whatever hypnosis is used for, how does hypnosis work is one of the most common questions that is asked when people are considering whether or not to undergo hypnosis. There are various theories about how does hypnosis work, and some are more commonly accepted than others. Finding out how does hypnosis work will allow anyone considering hypnosis to make a more educated decision about whether or not they wish to undergo the process.

The Four States of Mind

One of the most commonly accepted explanations for how does hypnosis work involves the physiological definitions of hypnosis. Through research, scientists have identified four brain wave patterns: the Alpha state, the Beta state, the Theta state, and the Delta state. These states of the brain are associated with different activities and activity levels. The alpha state is the relaxed or reflecting state, the beta state is the alert or working state, the theta state is the drowsy state, and the delta state is the sleeping, dreaming, and deep sleep state.

The Alpha And Theta State Theory

So now that you know about the four different states of mind, how does that help you to know how does hypnosis work? Well, scientists have determined that, when the brain is in the alpha state, it can be directed to make improvements in issues such as smoking and weight loss. Similarly, scientists have identified that it is necessary for therapeutic change, such as surgery and pain sensitivity. Thus, hypnosis generally works by guiding the patients to the alpha and theta states of mind. When a patient is in on of these states of mind, the hypnotist then makes suggestions that inspires the patient to complete tasks and make life improvements.

Other Theories

The state of mind theory is not the only theory that is used to explain how does hypnosis work. Other theories have been developed over the years, and some are more accepted than others. Other commonly accepted theories include: the role playing theory, the disassociation theory, the nondisassociation theory, the neuropsychological theory, the hyper-suggestibility theory, the informational theory, and the systems theory.

No, I did not think that I was the first person to get this idea. I'm not THAT nave. However I was nave in a lot of other ways about what it takes to build a website but I will get to that later.

Anywho, I thought this was a great idea for ME; I love making little animations in Flash, I love thinking up little stories, I love working for myself (as opposed to working for a boss - but you can read about that on my website!), and I thought it would be really cool to have a website that people from all over the world would visit and use. WOW! Sort of my 15 minutes of fame, I guess. AND if somewhere down the line I could make just a liiiiiiiittle money on it; GREAT! And I'm not talking millionaire money, just enough to cover my expenses. Okay okay, and maybe a liiiiiiittle bit more than that : ) Being able to afford red wine in bottles instead of cartons would be nice.

I started working on ideas (had lots of those) for ecards and then I started making the very first card (that I intended to send to my parents on their 50th wedding anniversary as a "test" to see if other people would think my cards were as funny as I did). Then a funny thing happened (no, not on the way to the Forum); my mother (who has absolutely no knowledge of the Internet or ecard websites or anything of an electronic nature and who knew NOTHING of my idea of starting my own ecard website) had cut out an article from their newspaper for me. It was the (success) story of a British artist, Jacquie Lawson, who at the tender age of 57 created an interactive flash Christmas ecard and emailed it to her friends and yada yada yada now has a VERY profitable subscription-based ecard website. And we're talking MILLIONS OF DOLLARS here, folks!

I thought: "MY GOD! THIS IS A SIGN! This must be what I'm put on this planet to do! It's my CALLING!" You see, my mom has NEVER EVER given me any newspaper clippings about ANYTHING before, so why now, why about this? MUST be a sign. I'm not a religious or superstitious person, but this was just a little too much to be coincidental, I decided! So I kept working my lower-part-of-my-body (no, not my legs!) off. I finished the first card JUST in time for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and emailed it to them on the morning of their big day. It was a big success : ) It was a card with two bored, cats picking their noses (I know! It doesn't really sound like the kind of card you would send to your parents on their 50th wedding anniversary, but - what can I say? It worked great!) - check it out here: http://www.carlsencards.com/ecard-01-happy-birthday-bored-cats.htm. I have later changed the message to Happy Birthday.

So wanting to be serious about the whole thing, I needed a domain and I decided on the name carlsencards(.com) and purchased the domain. All the great keyword stuffed URLs were of course taken (always good to have your most important keywords in your URL!). So I thought I might as well promote my name a little. If that was a wise decision I still don't know - jury's still out on that one. Then again, who would have ever thought that "yahoo" or "google" were great names for websites?! I rest my case. But here is the first lesson to be learned; CHOOSE A LESS COMPETITIVE MARKET IF YOU CAN! Not something like... say; ECARDS! Search for "ecards" and you'll get 34,500,000 results in google! Good luck getting to the top of THAT list! I don't want to state the obvious, but... I do anyway; it's also a good idea to choose a product, a service or a theme you are interested in yourself and LIKE working with.

For the next 6 months I worked on my site. Every weekend, holiday and vacation I got up around 6am so that I could get to work on my BIG IMPORTANT PROJECT! I had decided that 20 cards would be enough to launch the site. This ecards site is all about QUALITY not quantity, you see. I put a lot of work into each card; first the story, then drawing and animating, then composing and recording the music and sound effects, and finally putting the card on my site. A card takes 2-4 days to make, so it took me about 6 months to complete the 20 cards I thought would be enough for starters.

I intended to keep making cards after the big, GRAND opening, so the site would continue to grow and my users ("my users" - Oh, I like saying that: MY USERS! I have USERS!) would have new cards to send every time they visited my site. And - for your information - I still make cards. Every free minute I have is spent working on my ecard website. But I like it.

And here's another lesson to be learned (but I already knew that); people expect websites to change, be updated and grow ALL THE TIME. It's like children! You can't just have a baby and then expect it to grow up all by itself. Or so I've heard. I don't have children myself. Not the human kind, anyway! Only the furry, four legged kind with whiskers. But they need caring and looking after, too!

Then the big day arrived; I WAS READY TO LAUNCH MY SITE. And here's where I was REALLY nave. I thought that all I had to do was send ecards to all my friends, and they would love the cards and find them utterly cute and funny and they would send cards to all THEIR friends who again would love my cards and send cards to... I think you get the picture.

Lesson to be learned: That happens like once in a blue moon. Or once in 10 blue moons. Okay it happened for Jacquie Lawson. It happens SOMETIMES in real life. But it certainly didn't happen in my real life. Only in my dreams!

Hmmmm, what to do, what to do... I definitely wasn't ready to give up just yet (another useful lesson: DON'T GIVE UP!). So I searched the Internet and found a site that listed free stuff of all kinds. Hey, I have free stuff on my site, maybe I can get them to link to my site. Wow, they were way ahead of me on that one; they actually had a button that said "Submit site". Great! I submitted my site, but - oh - what's that? "Reciprocal link" - what is that? Oh, so I have to link to you, and you'll link to me. Hmmmm, sort of I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours. Oh, but that'll ruin my great design. There must be other ways.

Lesson number... I have lost count! Anyway, lesson to be learned; reciprocal linking is hard to avoid. I have later learned that one-way links are better, but to get things started and to get people to visit your wonderful site, it's a good idea to find sites that will link to you and generate some traffic. And so what if you have to put a couple of little buttons and text links on your site. So I exchanged links with a free stuff site, and - WOW - people OTHER than my 20 or so friends visited my site!

We're not talking several thousands a day. Actually not even hundreds. But around 60-80 a day, which is way better than 3-4. Now we're cooking. Yes, but the cooking started to slow down after a week or so. Okay, now what? I guess I just have to find a couple more sites to exchange links with.

So again I searched the Internet. Lo and behold, there are lots of sites that list free stuff out there! And to make a long, boring story a little shorter; I exchanged links with about a dozen free stuff sites and I did get a little traffic. But there must be other ways....

DIRECTORIES! There are (probably) hundreds of thousands of directories where you can get listed and most do not require a reciprocal link. Or a yearly fee to list your site. Again I spent hours researching and googling (I know google don't like us to use that word - to "google", but it's such a GOOD word) the words "free directory submit site". And if there was one thing I learned, it was that I STILL HAD A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT PROMOTING A WEBSITE!

SEO! What the hell is see-oh? Oh, it's S-E-O! Search Engine Optimization - still have no idea what that is. So I researched - isn't the Internet a wonderful invention? Oh my; keywords, href title tags, alt tags, text content, file names, keyword density... I thought I had done everything I needed to do in that department by just placing some nice keywords in the meta tags (you know; title, description and keywords)! But, noooooooooo, search engines don't care about that anymore. Now you have to put your keywords into all those other tags AND the content. And you have to choose your keywords VERY carefully (google has some nice tools that can help you research and find the right keywords - link at the end of the article). Aha! Wish I had known that BEFORE I started building my website. Another very useful lesson! I won't explain exactly how to do all this, but I'll give you some links to great sites, that explain this much better that I ever could. I just want you to know that this is something you have to do.

Okay, so that's it! NOW I'm all set to attract millions of visitors. Well, what's your pagerank, Martine? My what? My "pagerank"? Where can I get that? Can I buy it on ebay? Oh no, pagerank is something you EARN so to speak. But how? Get lots and lots of QUALITY inbound links - preferably one-way links (meaning that THEY show you theirs, but YOU don't have to show them yours! Well, actually THEY show everybody YOURS, but you don't have to... You know what I mean). Google likes that! And you do what google likes. Because most people find sites by searching google. And they seldom get past page 1 or 2 in the google results. So how DO you get to the top of google's search results?

Good question. Very good question. Very few people know a lot about that and a lot of people (like me) know very little about it. But people like me (who know just a little) have a good excuse, because IT'S A SECRET! Only the people who work for google - actually only SOME of those people REALLY know what google likes the most and thereby goes to the top of the list. And you know what? Doesn't pay to try to find out, because they CHANGE IT all the time!

Google uses something called algorithms to determine which sites to put on the top of the list (if you're interested you can find tons of information on that on the Internet). And they keep changing these algorithms. Yes, I think that's really sneaky, too. But it does serve a purpose. Otherwise clever - even more sneaky - webmasters would find out and take advantage of this knowledge and get THEIR websites to the top of the lists even though their sites are not the most relevant. See the point? So I guess that's okay. But it certainly doesn't make my life easier. I have to guess and try out different keywords and keyword placements and keyword density until I just give up and say "That'll do little piggy. That'll do!" That was a quote from "Babe", and if you're not familiar with that movie; RENT IT, BUY IT, SEE IT!

Another thing google likes, is a nice, simple sitemap. It makes google's job a lot easier. But that's no biggie, this site will do it for you: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com - and let's all give a big hand to xml-sitemaps.com for helping us out with that one.

So, to sum it all up:
- optimize you site (this is the SEO part) - doing this from the very beginning is a lot easier than after you have created 167 pages! I know from experience. And this includes making a sitemap.
- get lots of inbound (one-way) QUALITY links (that'll give you pagerank and a higher position on google's search results). Directories are good. But don't get them all at once; getting too many links too fast will seem like spam to google, and you don't want that to happen!
- get some links to your site that can generate some traffic (it's okay to reciprocate some links - I think!). And it'll be good for you self esteem to see that your site gets visitors that are NOT closely related to you : )
- and do what I'm doing right now; write funny/informative/useful articles and submit them to sites all over the Internet. And remember to include your name and URL : ) That's sort of the whole purpose of doing this. Not that I didn't write this article to amuse you. I did. Of course I did!

And finally - and this just might be the best and most important advice of all; STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE "Guaranteed 100,000 Visitors $15! Very Cheap Traffic" SITES! 100.000 unique visitors - YEAH, RIGHT! Don't do it! It's a scam, it's a waste of money and google doesn't like it! You may even get your site banned from google by doing that. I know it's tempting, but so is robbing a bank and getting $2 million in 4 minutes. But it doesn't pay in the long run.

So, I guess that's it. I hope you had fun reading about my experiences promoting my website. And I hope you learned a little as well. Good luck with your website!

And here' s the list of REALLY useful sites with REALLY useful information that I used (and still use) promoting MY website:

Great tools:
http://www.iwebtool.com
http://www.selfseo.com
http://www.seobook.com
http://www.webuildpages.com/cool-seo-tool

http://info.vilesilencer.com/
http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=2156221

.. so has my website become a great success with thousands of visitors every day? Well, my site is still very new, so it's too early to say. But I hope and I believe and most of all I still work hard on promoting my site and adding new cards every week! So who knows? Beware, Jacquie Lawson, there's a new kid in town!

Teaching With Preschool Software

Computers and their Benefits

Computers are becoming increasingly popular in homes, day care centers, preschools, and schools. In fact, current statistics show that more than 50% of all children have used a computer by the time they are four years old. That number jumps to over 80% when discussing children who have used the computer by the time they have entered Kindergarten. Using computer programs for educational purposes offers a host of benefits. Preschool software can be a great way to help children develop and reinforce many educational skills from literacy to science. Many parents may mistakenly believe that their preschooler is to young to benefit from computer software but this is a gross misconception. Preschoolers need to develop literary awareness and preschool software is a great way to expose children to concepts that will help them make the connection between words and their meanings. When it comes to learning, preschoolers need to learn in an atmosphere that is relaxed and fun. Many preschool software games incorporate graphics, audio files, and interesting voice patterns. This helps engage the childs senses and stimulates learning. It is also important to ensure that the preschool software will help increase their logic, reasoning, and problem solving abilities. Since exploration, imaginative learning, and play are also critical to early childhood development, using preschool software can be an effective means for developing these areas as well.

One word of caution that is important to mention, is that preschoolers have a strong need for interaction with adults and other children. Therefore, the computer should never be used as a substitute for one-on- one or group learning. Consider the use of a preschool software program as an additional learning tool to enhance your curriculum- not to replace it. Some areas where you can find preschool software beneficial include:

Oral Language Development- choose software that allows children to record and playback their voice. Also, look for software that has a narrator who children will interact and respond to.

Increase Awareness in the Areas of Phonetics and Print- Preschool software can help children make the connection between print words and their meanings. It is also a valuable way to teach letter recognition, stories, rhymes, and letter sounds.

Using computers and preschool software can be advantageous for all children. It is important to ensure that each activity is connected to the other areas of learning currently being taught.

The Top 10 Ways To Improve Your Interview Body Language - Part Two

The following article concludes the top 10 ways to ensure that you show good interview body language. Make sure that all the preparation you do for a job interview isnt in vain. Your body language is key to job interview success.

The final 5 of the top 10 ways to improve your interview body language are as follows:

6) Make sure that your eyes sparkle

Its all very well having good eye contact at your interview, but if your eyes arent looking bright and interested then youre making life difficult for yourself! Make sure that you have a good nights sleep your interview. Remember this is a very important day you need to look your best and have no bags under your eyes! If you want your eyes to sparkle then its worthwhile getting some whitening eye drops. It doesnt cost much but it will work.

7) Be engaged

Its important to be subtly positive at your job interview. You need to demonstrate that youre actively taking part in the interview. When your interviewer is telling you about the job role and company, make sure that you nod subtly. This shows that you are listening and are interested in what they are saying. It shows that your are engaged in the discussion process and want to be part of the organisation.

8) Breathe deeply

One of the best ways to relax before an important interview is to breath deeply. If you breathe deeply, not only are you relaxing by slowing your rapid, nervous heartbeat, youre also ensuring that your brain has as much oxygen as possible. This means that youll be able to think clearly at your interview and be able to respond to difficult questioning more rapidly. Breathing deeply before an interview will provide you with the effective combination of being relaxed and alert at the same time.

9) Accept an offer of a glass of water

You may not feel like a glass of water, but taking a sip from a glass of water can have a calming effect on your interview performance. It can give you an opportunity to collect your thoughts while refreshing you. It will also give you a chance to get used to the surroundings while the interviewer is out of the room getting the glass of water. This will also give youre the opportunity to gather your thoughts and decide upon any amendments to your interview strategy as well as reviewing your prepared responses to questions.

10) Practice your handshake

So many people havent got the right professional handshake. Remember that this is part of the first and last impression that you leave at the interview. If you have a weak, limp handshake then this tells the interviewer that you may not have the ability to deal with confrontation. On the other hand, if your handshake is too strong, then you may not be a good listener. You may be quite confident about controlling a situation, but you may be less likely to be democratic in approach. To demonstrate the happy medium, have a firm but not hard grip, make good eye contact at the same time and mirror the style of the person whose hand you are shaking.

In summary, mirroring is the key. If youre able to subtly copy the tonality of your interviewers body language, youll find it much more easier to communicate because youll be speaking the same silent body language. This will put you streets ahead of the competition in the race for your dream job.

Birth Certificates The First Record Of Your Life

In the majority of countries around the world, the birth of a child is recorded with a birth certificate. They are issued very soon after the childs birth and usually are required by law. These certificates are generally held as proof of identity and are sometimes required when applying for things like driving licences, passports and official work related qualifications.

A birth certificate records the time and date of the birth, the name of the child, the gender of the child, the place of birth, the legal parents names, and some kind of registration number. They are generally stored at a regional office that caters to the task, but some people keep their certificate or a copy of it among their possessions. In many countries it is possible to obtain a copy of another persons certificate.

The certificate itself is usually a small and unassuming form with the details of the child and signatures of presiding witnesses such as a midwife or doctor, and the hospitals details if the birth took place in a hospital. They tend to have some anti copy efforts such as delicate patterning or inking, but forgery is not a big problem. It is possible to get either a short or full certificate; the latter having more details. In the UK, a short certificate shows the baby's names and surname, sex, date of birth and the name of the registration district and sub-district where the birth took place. A full certificate is the same but with exact place of birth, father's name (if given at time of registration), place of birth and occupation, mother's name, place of birth, maiden surname and, after 1984, occupation (UK General Register Office).

Changing the details on a birth certificate can be very difficult. Often you will only be allowed to make additions rather than changes. A new forename for the child can only be registered if the name was in common use within12 months of the birth, and a surname cannot be altered except for correcting errors.

Amongst the listed furniture, Home office or Home theatre are optional, they are add on to make your home have a professional look and a very comfortable look.

Bedroom furniture is always an issue, since it is Bedroom and one is very conscious about using right furniture for their room.

The latest trend is to use wooden polished furniture, which consists of wooden cupboard, beds, chests, dressing table, floor mirrors, headboards, shoe storage etc. Along with these trend even materials like Aluminum, glass, iron, marble, metal, steel are also commonly used.

These materials are applied to almost all the furnitures used for the home. Depending once again on the texture and the color applied to your house.

Bookcases, Cabinets, Chaise, Hall trees, sofas tables and trunks are also integral part of the decorations, they also have to be chosen very carefully so that there is not mix match or a confusing look but a warming looking to the house, hence the reason, there are different styles and also different materials listed to make a better choice.

There are different decorating styles that can be used some of which are listed as, Antique, Casual, contemporary, country, hand carved custom made and much more styles that can be used to make your home the best.

It was mentioned earlier that Home theatre or Office are optional for the only reason, that not every one is interested in having them. But yes, it is true that it does make a difference when you have them in the house. But it is also true, that your house still can be beautiful without them.

For the ones who are interested in Home theatre of Home office, have to be extra careful so that, Home theatre and Home office do match to the rest of the furniture in your house.

Tips for Writing Successful Articles

It is not uncommon for everybody to be writing on the internet in todays world. The question is not if you are writing on the internet, but what you are writing and how often. Blogging and other types of online diaries have greatly increased the amount of writing that people do, whether it be personal sharing, opinions or technical writing. The important thing then becomes how successful you are at writing. Regardless of what you write, there are a few factors that will help to make your articles stand out from the sea of other pieces of writing available on the internet.

View Your Article Like A Classified Ad

Many viewers have a short attention span and understanding that your article must catch their attention right away is critical in constructing a piece of writing that will be effective. Make the article short and sweet. Writing web articles is not the place for long dissertation or explication. People will simply not read them. You need to catch the attention of the viewer quickly, get them the information that they are looking for even quicker and wrap it up.

Use Sub-headings

Again, this is a key to quick distribution of information. Many articles are found based on a keyword search through a search engine. By using many subheadings, you will be able to organize the information that you are providing. Viewers tend to read articles that are well-organized and broken down into pieces that are easily assessable.

Proofread

This is extremely important! Nothing will turn off a viewer more quickly than an article that is poorly written and that is grammatically unprofessional. A simple run through with spell check is a good start, but should not be the only method that you use to check your work. One trick that many try in order to proofread their work is to read it out loud. This allows you to hear the words instead of simply reading the words. But regardless of how you check your work, it is essential to make sure that it is spotless!

Market Your Article

Even if you have to most innovative article that will revolutionize the world, if no one reads it, you might not have even written it. In order for you to get a maximum amount of exposure, you must get your name and your article out so that viewers can find it! Post it to as many places as you can, with links to your site. This will create momentum and will further increase the amount of hits, as the wider the distribution, the higher your article will rank in search engines. Your article is more than a piece of your writing; it is a way to market your ideas and your site.

Seek Out As Many Formats As Possible

Do not limit yourself to simply blogging or posting in forums on websites. If you wish to make your article into a successful piece of writing, try getting it published everywhere! With electronic resources such as how-to websites and ezines, the cost to your will be relatively low. It is simply a matter of sending an email to publishers of these sites. Many publishers send out articles to a list of email subscribers. What better way could there be to get your name to many people?

Do-It-Yourself Or DIY Websites

What's the Attraction?

Today, with the cost of ready-made products continuing to rise, more and more people are finding it prudent to make or do things themselves. Sometimes kits are available, such as those for birdhouses or jewelry and sometimes it's necessary to build it from scratch, such as wood planters or an extra bedroom. Whatever your preference is, don't let potential customers miss the sense of accomplishment they'll feel when they're able to stand back and say, "I made that!"

What's the incentive?

Online "shoppers" are always checking websites regarding how to make or do specific things. You may have just what they need.

* For example, last winter you built your grandson a very elaborate playhouse, from scratch. As you worked, you wrote down the details of your original pattern. When your wife suggested you try to market the pattern online, you did just that. Using a marketing plan, you set up your own website, arranged for credit card and PayPal billing, and took detailed photos of the playhouse. Once the site was up and running you simply sat back and waited for the orders to come in. Success! Not bad for two weeks of work!

* Another example of a DYI website is one related to writing your own tutorials for popular software programs such as PhotoShop or Norton's Utilities. Having used these programs for years, you now consider yourself an expert, particularly related to shortcuts and customizing your work. You're so good, in fact, that you were able to take some rather mediocre wedding photos and, using sepia tones, turn them into keepsakes that even the most highly paid professional would envy. You've decided you're now willing to share your talents, so you develop a website to market your original tutorial online. Your first offering has paid off well.

Consider online DYI projects as a viable income source.

The sense of accomplishment one gains through successfully completing a DIY project cannot be easily described. Let's just say, it makes you feel good and proud of yourself. Any market that aims at fulfilling these two factors is attractive to any potential online "shopper." Because of the anonymity of website exploration, shoppers are willing to explore topics they'd stay clear of in real life. For example, a man might research flower arranging or sewing, and a woman might explore automobile timing or repairing small appliances. When you develop a website for a specific DIY topic, you are opening up a possible floodgate to online profits. Even something simple such as selling the details of flower arranging could bring in a comfortable sum if it's marketed to the right people.

Go ahead - take a chance.

Go ahead - take a chance - you haven't much to lose. Rather than make a large initial investment in your own website, test the waters using e-Bay or Craigslist.com. Try to sell your playhouse pattern or your PhotoShop tutorial through them. While you may have to pay them a percentage of your profits, it will be well worth it. You'll know for sure if there's a market out there for your DIY idea. Considering all the people, worldwide, who scan the web looking for do-it-yourself projects, you're bound to appeal to dozens of potential buyers.

The Girl at Work

Dear Dr. Neder:

I have liked a woman at my work for sometime now. We were out with others from work one evening and I admitted to her how I felt after getting a little drunk. She was perfectly sober since she was the designated driver. At the same time, she told me that she was also attracted to me, but that she didnt want a boyfriend at that moment. We wound up making out and dancing all evening.

Since then Ive felt very confused. I got her number that night but I haven't called her as I planned to give her space due to what she said about not wanting a boyfriend.

What I don't understand is; why did she say she didn't want a boyfriend and then let everything else happen and was even enthusiastic about it?

One more question she mentioned that she doesnt really want to date anyone from work because of a bad experience that she had in the past. Is that reasonable? Do you think thats why she doesnt want a boyfriend at the moment?

Hello!

Whenever a girl tells you that she "...isn't ready for a relationship..." or "...doesn't want a boyfriend..." big, green flags should go off in your mind. This is actually a very good thing! You'll instantly have your path set and all you need to do is follow it.

What is that path? Ill explain in a minute, but first, you need some foundation.

Heres the most important rule I can give you about women: watch their actions - don't listen to their words. Words are women's way of "managing" their situations. They use words to misdirect you away from their real intentions. This is because women dont want to seem like theyre too interested in you because then YOU have all the power.

Their actions however, DO NOT LIE.

This situation is what I call the "Mini-Test". It's an attempt by this woman to see what would happen if she got into a relationship with you. Would she get to be the girl, or would she have to be the man too - because you're not going to be him. Im afraid that sitting back and respecting her not wanting a boyfriend is the WRONG MESSAGE to send her.

Go back and re-read that paragraph until it really sinks in before you continue.

In my books, I talk about "Pre-Tests", "Mini-Tests" and "The Test". These are all tools that women have in their relationship toolkits that men lack. You need to understand how they work however because you're going to be Tested - constantly. As soon as you learn how to pass these Tests, you're going to be the man women just have to get to know. That's no exaggeration by the way!

This girl was all over you. She IMPLIED what she wanted while trying to misdirect you with words. Women believe deep down that real men should set the pace. Theyd rather be with someone that knows what he wants and is willing to express it even if it doesnt match what they THINK they want!

Consider this too: women DEFINE themselves by their relationships just as you and I do by our careers. If women are in good, solid, loving relationships, they feel successful just as you do when youre on a career path. How would you feel if you were unemployed? Thats how women feel when theyre not dating anyone.

Thus, you KNOW that her not wanting a boyfriend is garbage. Of course she wants one but she wants a GREAT one. Can you be him? I think so!

So, she had a bad relationship at work before, eh? Big deal! Boo-hoo! Who hasnt had bad relationships? Youre not that guy, you didnt cause the problem and youre not worried about having bad relationships because you and she are mature enough to handle it right? All you need to do now is to express this to her.

Heres how:

First, you need to set up a date with her. Dont ask her for it however; TELL HER whats going to happen! When you see her, just walk up and say, Clear Saturday night, Ill pick you up at 8. You dont even have to say why! Just tell her what you want, be absolutely clear about it and make sure SHES clear about it too. You dont want her to say, Oh, I thought you meant FRIDAY night or something (more misdirection see how this works?)

Then, when you see her on Saturday, use my opening kiss technique where you walk right up and give her a big, passionate kiss right on the lips even before you say hello. This is going to knock her right off her stilettos.

Next, turn on the charm, touch her, challenge her and make her laugh. If she brings up the boyfriend thing again, just say, Yeah, youre absolutely right and then ignore it! Treat it like she didnt even say it because she didnt! Her actions speak louder than her words, right?

If she brings up the work thing again, just say, Yeah, I know many guys and girls arent mature enough to handle this. Its too bad that this guy wasnt, but you and I wont have that problem because were cool. Then, drop it entirely. All you need to do is simply address her fear, tell her that its a non-issue and go back to having a great time.

My brother, as the man, you have certain rights and responsibilities. All women want to know is that YOU know this and youre ready to deal with it. Then, they let down their guards and feel relieved because they know that theyre with someone that has things handled. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Best regards...

Buying A Used Car: Assessing Your Needs

If you are buying a used car, you probably want to save some money. This means that you need to prioritize what is most important to you in a car. This article will help you assess your needs and your wants, so that you can find a car that suits you perfectly.

Cost

Look at the cost of a car. There is no point in window shopping at fully-loaded $40,000 trucks if you will only be able to afford a $4,000 truck in the first place. When you are establishing your budget for your car, be sure to account for how much the insurance will likely be, how much gas you will be spending (although this figure does change, it is best to go in having at least an idea), and regular maintenance. To budget for maintenance, you will need estimate the costs of 4 oil changes a year, plus some extra money just in case. Used cars are, well, used: they arent new are generally not under warranty. If you want a warranty, consider buying a used car from the dealership, who can often offer warranties even on used vehicles.

Suitability

What kind of driving do you do? You probably dont need a four-wheel drive behemoth of an SUV if you do mostly city driving. Conversely, if you live on a gravel road, you might feel more comfortable driving in winter if you have something larger than a neon. For most drivers, the way that you drive a car will mean that you are open to many options. However, if this is a limiting factor, it is important to take into consideration.

If you are a commuter, then you will have to take other factors into consideration. You might not want to buy a car with a very high mileage, because you will be adding the miles to that odometer. You might want to find a car that has very comfortable seats to make your ride go better. Things that could be less important, like the stereo, become much more important when you spend a lot of time in your car each day.

Look

Some people would rather have a car that looks good or prestigious. Its okay to admit that you are one of those people. For instance, for $3,500 you might be able to buy a 6 year old Honda civic; this same money could also buy you a much older BMW. If you value appearances, dont lie to yourself when you are shopping. You want to get a car that you will love, and theres no point looking at Ford Focuses if the only thing that will spark your delight is a Ford Mustang.

Load

How many people do you normally travel with? What is the most number of people that you have taken in your current car at once? If you dont already have a car, estimate the number of people you will have with you on a regular basis. If you only drive around 7 people during the hockey tournament once a year, you can probably skip buying a minivan. However, if you normally drive three people around, it might be a pain to get a two door vehicle. For truck drivers, you will want to consider the amount of load that you generally put in the back of your truck to help you judge your purchase.

Your Loan

Not only do you want to get the right car, you want to get the right car loan. It is wiser to have your financing lined up before you go to a dealership. You can set up used car loans at any bank: but one often overlooked type of used car loan is to go to a credit union, where you can generally get lower interest than at a major bank. For more information on loans, (and we wont even try to sell you a loan!) visit www.theguideto-carloans.com.

In the End

You will be the one driving. Make the decisions based on your needs and what you feel is right. Though it is great to get lots of advice (and sometimes it helps to take someone savvy about mechanics along with you to check out the car), considering these facts will help make you capable of choosing the right car.

Surveys for Pay - Can You Believe It?

If you are anything like me, taking the odd interesting survey gets the brain going and can quite a bit of fun. They can be stimulating and they can make you think - and sometimes you might learn a little bit about yourself. Other surveys might just ask you about likes and dislikes, or different shopping, spending, reading or television watching habits. Did you ever think it could be a work from home opportunity? Well, it can.

Whatever survey type suits your fancy, the important thing to know is that most consumer-oriented companies pay millions every year to find out what average people like you are thinking. That's why you can take a survey on just about anything these days - from what type of shampoo your dog prefers, to which infomercials you watch after midnight.

Marketing agencies are hired by these companies to build a database of information - derived from the results of surveys they conduct on behalf of those companies. And guess what? They pay you to take the surveys. Actually, the idea of being paid for surveys isn't a new one - marketing research companies have been doing it for some time. But, only in the past 5 years has it become a bonafide work at home income. The Internet has made that happen.

Say you are a stay at home mom or dad, and you have a few spare moments during the day where you might just be able to whip off two or three 15 minute surveys. Depending on the survey and the company you do the survey for - you might be able to make $25, $50 or even $75 for that survey. That's what they advertise! You can't show me one stay at home parent that wouldn't like to work from home for an hour a day and make up to $225.

Here's the key - you need to do your homework on which survey site is going to work the best for you and the one that is going to meet your work from home schedule. Some surveys need to be done at different times, some you can do whenever you want. There are a variety of pay scales and some pay in products - which might not be so bad in itself. Note: You do have to pay for many of these survey sites to join - but it is often a money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied with the return on your investment! This is one of those work from home jobs that gives you back only what you put in - so find the right one for you and it is sure to pay dividends.

Type 'survey company reviews' in your search engine and you can find a wealth of information on which survey site is going to suit your work at home schedule.

If you are the type of person that doesn't mind sitting on the computer for an extra hour per day - maybe when the kids are napping, or before everyone gets up in the morning - then you might be able to make yourself a decent work from home income on the side. It's quick, it's easy and if you enjoy surveys like I do, then taking surveys can also be fun!

Thinking about a Revocable Living Trust?

Common reasons for creating a revocable living trust include avoiding probate, reducing estate taxes (both of which can mean losing thousands of dollars), appointing guardians for minors, establishing greater control over distributions to young beneficiaries, lessening the likelihood of a successful contesting of your will, and easing the process for appointed persons to manage your assets during an incapacitation.

You must determine if the benefits of a revocable living trust outweigh the costs of having one prepared. Your costs can be hefty if several considerations aren't examined.

First, check with local attorneys and estate planners to determine what average estate value leads to probate in your state. Probate often averages between 3%-10% in attorney and court costs (it is not a tax). Will the price of a trust be more or less than your potential probate fees? Many estate-planning firms can provide affordable attorney-prepared documents for less than $1,000 -a cost much lower than most probate fees.

Second, who will prepare your trust? Sources include self-made trust kits available over the Internet, legal document preparers, paralegals, and attorneys. Should your document not be prepared properly, it can be contested successfully. An experienced planner will ask enough questions to ensure that you've minimized estate taxes and set clauses in place, such as distributions to special needs beneficiaries, care for pets and qualifications for beneficiaries.

Third, and most important, know what must be done after you have signed your trust. Many trusts include one page that assigns all property without a title (e.g., silverware, jewelry, and art) to your trust. This page does not cover assets that have a title, such as houses, vehicles, and bank accounts. These assets must be re-titled in to the name of your trust. Often, people forget and/or procrastinate this important step regarding transferring (funding) their most valuable assets, which then remain subject to probate.

When you interview potential estate planners, listen closely to their descriptions of the estate planning process and choose a planner who stresses the importance of transferring your assets to the trust. While funding your trust does take time and legwork, it often is as simple as allowing the bank, DMV, or broker to copy trust documents and sign a few forms. If you have property a new deed for each must be prepared. A good estate planning firm should be able to provide new deeds for your existing properties at the time of your trust signing.

Regardless of the resource(s) you choose to set up your plan, a revocable living trust can protect your assets and achieve your objectives by making sure that every step is carried out in full. Making these arrangements could be the most important decision you make regarding management of your estate to ensure you and your family's well-being when you're no longer able to direct that financial course.

Find Your Creative Muse With A Career In Cosmetology

There are a lot of different careers available to anyone with the right skills. What about those of us that tend to be more creative and just can't stand the thought of sitting through four more years of schooling? The answer may be in exploring a career in Cosmetology.

To work in this field does require obtaining additional training and experience typically received through a beauty college. Beauty colleges however are unlike the hours of book work and study that is offered at the local community or four year college however. Much of the schooling is in the form of training for your future work in the field.

Much of beauty college is the study of "how to" and practical application offering real, usable information. Yes, there is book work and study but the main focus is to get the you ready and competent to work in the field or cosmetology as an aesthetician. Most states require that you pass a written exam and have a certain number of hours experience. This is where a good beauty school ready shines. Part of the curriculum is actually hands on doing the hours on real people. Many people go to beauty schools to get their hair, nails, and even waxing done at a cut rate price. For the lower price, the customer has a student doing the work, which gives them experience, all under the watchful eye of knowledgeable staff.

There are many career paths that open once you receive your certification how about these ideas to launch your career.

1. There's the typical hair and nail salon. These are the franchised hair cutting places that seem to be popping up everywhere. This is mass produced haircutting. Your income is based a lot on the speed you're able to complete each customer.

2. Then there's the more exclusive salon. Many who work in these establishments have developed not only a clientele but a reputation for high quality work. it's not unusual for a stylist in these high end salons to charge well over 100 dollars for a simply haircut and style.

3. Home care or shut in personal service. If working for yourself is a dream, there are many older citizens with less mobility that would love home beauty care.

4. Working in the entertainment industry. Make-up artists and aesthetician positions are available to those with the right certifications.

5. How about working with the dead. That's right, funeral homes employ cosmetology specialists to make the deceased look their best for the family viewing. This can actually be very lucrative because many people simply can't imagine working with dead bodies.

These are but a few of the many opportunities open to anyone with a certification in cosmetology. So if you're creative, talented and love working with people, consider a beauty college to get on this interesting and challenging career path.

5 Easy Steps to an Automated and Lucrative Online Business

Wed all like to have an online business thats not only financially successful but can run itself and consistently pull in multiple streams of income. But how do you go about this and where do you start? Well here are 5 easy steps.

1. Get It Going. Theres no step more important than this. Plenty of businesses are fully automated and can run themselves, but they cant start themselves. You need to take action and start your business, and the time to take action is right now.

But first, remove the 2 negative thoughts that might hold you back. The first negative thought that people worry about the most when starting an online business, is about not being perfect. So put that thought straight out of your head. No ones perfect and no one expects you to be. You dont have to get it right, you just have to get it going.

The other thing is criticism. Sure youll get it, you just have to learn to deal with it and not worry about it. So what if people criticise you? Youre getting it going and thats the only thing that will drive your business forward to success.

2. Do a 12-product survey. You need to get 12 different products to sell to see what people are mostly buying. These products dont have to be great or expensive, they just have to be diverse enough in content to see what most people want and then you can get more similar products to the more popular ones.

3. The Killer Sales Page It doesnt matter how good or bad your product is, if you dont have a killer sales page, then no one will be interested enough to buy it. Your sales page needs to include as much information as possible to arouse prospective customers interest.

Your headlines need to be intriguing and your first few paragraphs need to present your readers with a potential problem they may have. The middle part of your sales page should show how other possible solutions are not adequate enough or should elaborate more on the readers problem. The end of your sales page should offer your product as the solution, include as many bonuses as possible and repeatedly state what value-for-money your product is.

Make sure you get excited when you write your killer sales page.

4. Quickie Products. Make sure your products are quickie products that take the minimal amount of time to produce. Information products (eBooks) are the easiest, or if you want to sell a software product, get someone else to make it for you.

Then sell your products quickly and easily by signing up to a company like ClickBank.com. They have a low start-up cost and thousands of affiliates to help sell your products world-wide without you having to lift another finger.

Then automate your website so that visitors can buy directly from you or can sign up as an affiliate from your site. Capture the email address of anyone who buys your product and set up an auto responder with dozens of ready-made emails full of details about your other products to send out to your ever-growing email list.

5. Traffic. Next you have to drive as much traffic as possible to your website. One of the best ways to do this is by writing keyword-rich articles, submitting them to as many article directories as possible (I use Article Submitter software for this) and include a link back to your website in your resource box.

Once youve done all this youll have 12 products being sold for you all over the world and this is only the beginning
